2015 Pulitzer Prize Predictions (Updated)

With awards season underway, it’s the perfect time to think about the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction contenders. Really any time is okay for such contemplation, but I digress.

In July, we gave you our first list of predictions. Anthony Doerr and Roxane Gay led that list. We asked you to vote in a poll of potential winners. Gay and Doerr topped that vote, too, respectively.

Now, here we are in January, with the announcement being only a mere three months away. Our predictions have changed a bit, but that was expected. The big fall books have hit their marks. Summer sleepers have reappeared. Buzz has caught fire—and spread. Well, you know the story.

Below is the updated list of frontrunners for the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction:

  1. Fourth of July Creek by Smith Henderson
  2. Redeployment by Phil Klay
  3. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
  4. An Untamed State by Roxane Gay
  5. Lila by Marilynne Robinson
  6. Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
  7. Dept. of Speculation by Jenny Offill
  8. Bark by Lorrie Moore
  9. All Our Names by Dinaw Mengestu
  10. 10:04 by Ben Lerner
